The Story
Where this stone was born
From the Mogok Valley of Myanmar, where fine spinel has been mined for centuries. Mogok’s marble gives its spinel a clean, glowing red, with a natural fluorescence that makes the colour seem lit from within. For generations, the best of these stones were taken for rubies, and some of the most famous “rubies” in royal crowns are in fact Burmese spinels. This 2.78 ct cushion was cut in Bangkok and certified by GRS Laboratory.
