Where this stone was born
From Sierra Leone, a country of alluvial diamonds and one of the great names in the diamond world. It is the home of the Star of Sierra Leone, one of the largest rough diamonds ever found, at 969 carats, in 1972. The best of its stones are washed from river gravels, and a natural yellow of this saturation is rare from any source. This 5.32 ct cushion is natural and untreated, certified by GIA.
