The Story
From the Tsavo region of Kenya, home of the finest tsavorite in the world. The gem was first found in northern Tanzania in 1967 by the geologist Campbell Bridges. The same geology runs into Kenya’s Tsavo, and it was there that tsavorite became the stone collectors know today. It took its name from the Tsavo National Park, given by Tiffany & Co. in 1974.
